BenQ aims to ship 180,000 handsets 2008 in TaiwanBenQ aims to ship 180,000 handsets in Taiwan in 2008, with models supporting NFC (near field communication) and 3G technologies to be the focus of its marketing efforts, according to Hank Hung, general manager of BenQ Taiwan.

BenQ shipped 35,000 handsets in Taiwan in the first quarter, and the company expects shipments to climb to 50,000 units in the second quarter, led by the planned launch of the E53 3G handset and the T60 NFC handset, Hung indicated.

While outsourcing the production of the E53 to China-based ZTE, BenQ is subcontracting production of the T60 to Thailand-based Cal-Comp Electronics, Hung noted.

However, BenQ will also continue to cooperate with Qisda in handset production, with new models likely to be launched in the fourth quarter, Hung stated.

BenQ will also strengthen its cooperation with telecom service providers, instead of retail channels, to promote its sales in Taiwan, Hung said.

Design & Display

Candybar berukuran 105 x 45.3 x 15.9 mm dengan berat 82 gr memang terlihat sangat manis. Dual Mode

Nexian 220D juga menyediakan fasilitas dual mode yaitu ponsel yang menyediakan dua slot sim card sekaligus untuk kartu GSM dan kartu RUIM CDMA. Dua kartu tersebut dapat dinyalakan secara bersamaan. Sehingga pengguna tak perlu repot-repot lagi membawa dua ponsel sekaligus di genggaman dengan jaringan yang berbeda. Dan ponsel ini juga memudahkan pengguna karena menyediakan tombol khusus GSM dan CDMA sehingga pengguna tak akan salah menekan tombol ketika akan berkomunikasi dengan GSM atau CDMA.

Loud Speaker

Sama halnya dengan NX 210 yang memiliki speaker lantang, NX 220 juga membenamkan speaker dengan suara yang bisa diandalkan, Speaker yang terletak dibelakang body ponsel tersebut mampu menghasilkan suara ringtone yang nyaring sehingga panggilan telepon maupun SMSnya dapat terdengar dengan jelas.

Memory & Baterry

Memory yang disediakan Nx 220 D untuk kapasitas phone book adalah 200 kontak nama dan kapasitas untuk SMSnya adalah 50 SMS. Sementara untuk ketahanan baterainya ponsel ini bisa diandalakan karena mampu bertahan lama mengingat tidak dibenamkannya fasilitas multimedia. Dengan penggunaan standart baterry 1000 mAh ponsel ini mampu bertahan dalam keadaan standby 90 jam dan dalam keadaan aktif bicara 150 menit.
