The 2009 version of Aurea takes a leap forward in both design and in viewing experience. In addition, the 2009 Aurea has several new design features which create a stunning viewing experience.

The Aurea achieves brilliant and vivid viewing as the distinctive Active Frame with Philips AUREA LED TV – Ambilight has now been combined with new LED technology which also enables a sleek and lean design.

Aurea now has a seamless transition between the screen and the 8mm Ambilight Active Frame now includes 250 LEDs. It has been enhanced to enable exact color matching between the image on screen and the Active Frame – which gives a unique and even more immersive experience.

The Aurea remote control has an iconic design, in pearl with a slider feature so that the primary keyset is easily accessible. The remote control is backlit for ease of use in a dimmed room.

To complement the stunning design, the control buttons of the TV are no longer displayed on the side of the TV but are incorporated into motion sensitive touch controls on the front of the frame of the Aurea.
The invisible sound tweeters have been custom designed to be powerful but minimal in dimensions.

There is a matching Harmony Soundbar which complements the Aurea design, where one remote control can be used to operate both television and HTS.
