Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa is the 2008 sequel to the 2005 motion picture, Madagascar. Escape 2 Africa was produced by DreamWorks Animation and was released on November 7, 2008; the film was distributed by Paramount Pictures. The sequel starts as prequel, showing a small part of Alex’s early life, including his capture by hunters.
Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa soon moves to shortly after the point where the original left off, with the animals deciding to return to New York. Red Cliff take events during the end of the Han Dynasty and immediately prior to the period of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China. The film is expected to be released in two versions: within Asia, Red Cliff is to be released in two parts totaling over four hours in length.
