The company Huawei
Technologies announced that the telecommunications operator «VimpelCom»
offered its subscribers a new mobile phone model of economy class to
support the standard connection, the third generation of Huawei U121.

This
unit has performed in the classical form of high-quality materials
using parts from high stainless steel. Despite the availability of the
value of this model, it is comparable to the functionality of many
phones premium class. The unit is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera
with support for video calls, FM-radio receiver, memory card slot Micro
SD up to 2GB and standard (3.5 mm) jack for connecting a stereo
headset. Built media U121 supports the popular MP3 formats and MPEG4,
which makes the terminal a decent alternative to the many music phones.


Availability miniUSB port greatly
simplifies access to information and external device management. The
user interface is complemented by friendly Internet browser. Appparat
can also serve as an external modem, providing data transfer speed of
3G networks up to 384 Kbps.

Currently, the model U121 is only
available to subscribers of the network «Beeline» Far East region,
which can make full use of the phone. As the coverage area networks
third-generation model will be available to subscribers of services
«Beeline» and other regions of Russia.

Huawei Showcases ‘Green’ CDMA End-to-End Solution

[Mauritius, 31 July 2008] Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (”Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has announced that it showcased its industry-leading ‘ green’ CDMA end-to-end solution at the 3rd Global CDMA Operation and Development Forum, which took place on 17 July 2008 in Mauritius.

In line with the forum’ s theme of “future-oriented green evolution”, Huawei proposed that by adopting the latest 4th Generation Base Transceiver Stations (BTS’ s) and ALL IP technology into the CDMA development area and by using ‘ green’ BTS’ s, core networks with multi-network convergence design, green site accessory facilities solutions, and environment protecting energy solutions, operators are able to reduce CO2 emissions and the environmental impact of their CDMA systems.

Huawei launches the latest terminals to support operators boost 3G business

Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. (”Huawei”) launched its latest HSPA USB stick, 3G phones and HSDPA gateway at the industry benchmark event CommunicAsia in Singapore. This move signifies Huawei’ s continuous efforts in supporting operators to boost their 3G business.

Dedicated to help operators develop mobile broadband services and thus create potentials for operators by providing innovative products, Huawei highlighted its new product, the HSPA USB stick E180 with an ultra-slim shape measuring only 10mm thickness. The USB interface of E180 can be rotated by 270 degrees for protection purposes and ease of transportation. E180 supports multiple modes, including HSPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM. Its uplink rate reaches 5.76 Mbit/s while it allows a downlink rate of up to 7.2 Mbit/s. The E180, targeted at mobile internet users across all ages, will be available globally in the second half of June 2008. By now, Huawei’ s mobile broadband terminals have been widely applied by more than 235 operators in over 115 countries and regions with accumulated shipments of over 12 million, ranking Huawei the No. 1 in the industry.

Huawei also launched three chic 3G mobile phones, the U7310, U1310 and U3300. Enabling easy internet surfing with HSDPA 3.6Mps, U7310 is a modem phone with Plug & Play function. Less than 14mm thick and with a 3.6 Mbit/s downlink rate, U7310 allows its users to enjoy high speed mobile internet-browsing experience. U1310 is nominated for the 2008 Red Dot Award for its elegant and compact design. Using the U3300, music enthusiasts can enjoy and share music through an FM transmitter with this entry level slider phone. As the leading customized 3G handset supplier, Huawei provides flexible, prompt and innovative customization services to operators and thus help operator develop 3G subscribers.
