The company Motorola has announced the conclusion of a long-term contract for the implementation of WiMAX technology with wi-tribe Pakistan limited - a new provider of high-speed Internet access. Motorola will supply infrastructure and provide a complete package of services that will enable wi-tribe to offer its customers high-quality and inexpensive high-speed Internet access.

Comstar-UTS test zone demonstrates mobile WiMAX

The operator of integrated telecommunication services Comstar-UTS held a demonstration in Moscow on its test area wireless broadband Internet access technology for mobile WiMAX. Journalists were shown leading media capabilities of mobile WiMAX in the wild movement in the city.
In September 2008, Comstar-UTS in the center of Moscow has set up a test area wireless broadband access services WiMAX standard IEEE 802.16e (radio frequency range 2,5-2,7 GHz). In the zone employs three base stations installed in the area Petrovsky Boulevard, Daeva lanes and streets Schepkina, between stations provided “seamless” transition. WiMAX-network Comstar-UTS will be put into operation in late 2008. Until the end of 2008 the company will install 160 base stations. Read more

Google had a big Labor Day announcement – stating that the company would launch at beta version of its “Chrome” web browser in more than 100 countries.
Do we really need another web browser, next to Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera?
